{"id":102,"date":"2008-09-03T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2008-09-03T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tonydyson.co.uk\/blog_camino_2008\/index.php\/2008\/09\/03\/last-day-in-santiago\/"},"modified":"2026-05-01T16:29:03","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T16:29:03","slug":"last-day-in-santiago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tonydyson.co.uk\/wordpressBlogs\/blog_camino_2008\/index.php\/2008\/09\/03\/last-day-in-santiago\/","title":{"rendered":"Last day in santiago."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span><font size=\"3\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">03.08.08 Wednesday.<\/font><\/font><\/span><span><font size=\"3\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Santiago de Compostela.<\/font><\/font><\/span><span><font face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"3\">&nbsp;<\/font><\/span><font size=\"3\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\"><span>We have been in our cosy little appartement in <\/span><span>Santiago<\/span><span> for 2 days now, small but comfortable as long as everyone breathes asynchronously.<\/span><\/font><\/font><span><font size=\"3\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\"><span>&nbsp;<\/span>We have all done the cathedral, pilgrims twice, and the museum of peregrinations, there is a phenomenal amount of carved stone around the town as well as on the cathedral, if old buildings and wood and stone carving are your thing then this place is well worth a visit, the thousand years of pilgrimage to the reliquaries of St James even if the story was almost certainly manufactured have produced a town full of<span>&nbsp; <\/span>the efforts of human endevours. In several places the old and the new have been put together with a degree of sensitivity unusual in any cities today.
